Our Mission

To enable the disadvantaged and marginalized youth of Suchitlan, Colima,
Mexico to achieve their highest potential by providing educational opportunities, material support and enrichment activities.

To provide opportunities for volunteers to help and build relationships with
Project Amigo youth in Mexico;

To foster friendship and understanding between Rotarians, friends and
organizations from developed countries and from within Mexico.
Our Objectives

To enable the disadvantaged and marginalized youth of Suchitlan and the surrounding area (Suchitlan) in the state of Colima, Mexico to achieve their highest potential by providing educational opportunities, material support, and enrichment activities.

To encourage elementary students in Suchitlan to remain in school by providing school-related incentives such as extracurricular activities and field trips.

To support qualified junior and senior high school students from Suchitlan to continue their education.

To organize and fund the costs of after-school space called the Suchitlan Education and Study Centre in the town of Suchitlan to ensure that sponsored students continue to succeed in their studies.

To continue to support qualified students from Suchitlan who wish to advance to post-secondary education.
Our Purpose
Project Amigo Canada Society helps lift youth out of poverty through education. We focus on supporting youth of lower income families in Suchitlan, Colima, Mexico. Without support, these youth would have difficulty achieving even a basic education. We ensure they have access to a continuous education from elementary to tech school or university levels and the ability to achieve their highest potential.
